Blackwater Valley Exorcism:

Ahh, Chiller... when the television channel devoted to horror first came out I thought someone
finally made something just for me! Apparently, they don't know me very well. As it turns out, I
don't like to watch crap! When you title a T.V. channel "Chiller" I think of a constant running
stream of blood, screams, and all of the fabulous films that have made horror what it is today. I
don't think of shitty little straight to DVD flicks like Blackwater Valley Exorcism. I don't want to
give the impression that Chiller is all bad though, they do show "Tales From the Crypt" and Alfred
Hitchcock... but most of the time when you turn on the channel they are showing some pathetic
excuse for a thriller that you could probably find in the clearance rack at your local car wash.
Having said of all of this, it is time to go onward, upward, and to the downward spiral that is
Blackwater Valley Exorcism.

The plot follows a family and a young and troubled priest while they try to help their possessed
daughter battle the demons inside her. You're typical girl possessed film. Released in 2006, this
is just another bad attempt at recreating the magic of "The Exorcist". I am fully supportive of
new exorcism films, but at least pretend like you're trying! Show me some creepy effects, write
some powerful dialouge, give me something! This film makes me want to watch "Seed of Chucky"
just to get the bad taste out of my mouth. I would not recommend this film to anyone, and to
the people over at Chiller... you can do better!

The Deaths of Ian Stone:

Oh, hello again... welcome back to the crypt. I was hoping to talk about something very dear to
my heart... death. It will happen to all of us eventually. Or will it? What if you never died? What
if every time you should have died you just woke up in another life instead?

Brought to you by the great minds of Dario Piana and Brendan Hood, The Deaths of Ian Stone
follows a man who can't seem to escape being brutally murdered again and again and again. The
worst part though is that he just can't seem to die. Instead he just wakes up in a new life, with
a new job, new friends, and new memories... only to be killed off and start the whole process
over.
A fabulous addition to the After Dark collection! This one may have been over looked by a few
typical horror fans, but I highly suggest you give it a shot. Well written and filled with some
great special effects, I give this film two severed thumbs up!

High Tension:

This week my loves, I am bringing you High Tension. this film has a little something for everyone!
Brutal killings for those of us who need a little action! A sexy shower scene if you need a little
thrill. And for those kids out there who like horror but are looking for a bit more "culture", this
film has a few moments with subtitles! Anyway, on with the show!

This delightfully blood-soaked film is about a young woman chasing down a crazed killer who has
kidnapped her friend. An exciting ride through a very dark and bloody South France.
Unfortunately, if I were to go into any more detail than that it would spoil the movie! Just take
it from me, if you love twists, turns, and bloodshed then this movie might just be for you. So
grab some treats, bind yourself into your favorite chair, and get ready for the ride!
