Monster Movies:
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996):
When Tarantino and Rodriguez get together you
know you are in for a treat! In this case the treat is
fabulous characters, amazing vampires, and the
perfect amount of gore. Let's not forget Tarantino's
incredible ability to write dynamic dialouge! So if you
are looking for a scare, a laugh, and just a good
time all around this is the vampire pick for you!
Salem's Lot (2004):
As we all know Stephen King really knows how to tell
a story. And what better story to add to my list than
one about a vampire epidemic overtaking a small
town. While you are getting sucked into the great
character development, the characters themselves
are getting sucked-- blood-sucked of course!
Originally a two part series made for T.V., you can
now rent or own it!
The Fly (1986):
Here is one of those great examples of men trying
to play God. Take one part scientist, one part
insane and reckless experiment, and one part
flying insect. Shake them up, pour them out, and
you have just created one of the most disgusting
monsters to ever grace the silver screen! The best
version of this movie thus far, so put down your
test tube and go rent it!
Jaws (1975):
Spielberg brought this monster and all of it's bad
special effects to the box office over thirty years
ago. And however fake the shark may look, it
reminded us that real monsters do exist and they
are just waiting under the surface for us to come
along! Although the shark is almost laughable at
times, you will still think twice about swimming
out too far after watching this classic film!
John Carpenter's Vampires (1998)
There is no better batch of vampire hunters as the
group in this delightfully bloody movie! No
witches, goths, or half-human half-vampires here
kids. Just a couple tough guys, a prostitute, and a
young and somewhat hesitant preist. And they are
out to kick some vampire ass! If you are looking
for the three B's (blood, boobs, and bodies) you
will not be disappointed with this one!
